Wonder what the numbers will be in January after the mandate takes effect...

Is there any plan to hire? This is ridiculously low!

That reflects hires! The hiring just isn’t keeping pace with the amount of employees exiting.

I know there is allocation for new hires and they have been coming onboard since October in the field but right now a lot of the retiring was from AD and RO employees, and backfilling those will also take from the field. The onboarding has really just gotten going and training takes time, so there is going to be a rolling impact for a while and no relief even if more hires are brought on.

@ 9:58, wonder what the numbers will be the Monday we're called to report ?

20% of my office has already retired since we've been sent home. Dwindling workload and working under CR so likely no hires here in flyover country.

New hires come in...realize they are expected to meet high expectations with overwhelming workloads and walk right back out the door.

Its okay they are sooooooo much more productive at home that they should be able to keep up with no problem. Just ask them how super duper productive they are.

The agency just released an email this morning to all employees indicating that the offices will not be reopening in the immediate future and that no return date has been set.

expand telework for all and make SSA a place where people want to work and customer service will improve.
