Social Security has posted final 2021 numbers for the Trust Funds. There are two tables below, the first for combined Old Age, Survivors and Disability Trust Funds (even though these are two separate funds) and then for the Disability Trust Fund alone. In reference to the table Disability Insurance, curious if anyone knows or is willing to speculate as to the reason for the drop in total income from 2018 to 2019. $30 billion (if I am reading this correct) is quite the difference.
The payroll tax reallocation expired at the end of 2018.
