IG Fired

Donald Trump has fired Social Security’s Inspector General along with at least 14 other IGs. It’s odd that the IG for Social Security was fired. She was only in an acting role anyway.

He’s following the 2025 Project playbook which he knew NOTHING about but yet selected individuals that are in this administration. Federal employees should enjoy the final days of telework.

Trump had thirty days to notify Congress about firing the iG’s and he never did. Not surprising news coming from a convicted felon who doesn’t believe laws apply to him..

Trumps ignored 30 day requirement to notify Congress about firing any IG. He also ignored the AFGE-Management contract in regard to SSA telework. He is just ignoring the law and doing what he wants to. He must be called on this type of behavior and stopped immediately, by the courts and by Congress. Restraining orders and Congressional actions are necessary.

Wasn't Hannibal "Mike" Ware the Acting IG? I I think you may have misgendered him in your post.

Glad he's cleaning up. Hope he cleans up the SSA executives, layers of management, and judge corps next. So much dead weight

The cleaning up comments are strange, considering Trump selected him to be SBA’s IG in his first term.

Did you take your loyalty test twice?

If you think Trump actually knows who these people are by name, I have some ocean front property in Kansas to sell you.

Trump loves to decry about “the deep state” but the project 2025 cogs are working full time behind the scenes, submitting things to Trump and he’s just signing them.

In general, IGs are too close to leadership in their respective agencies. How often do IGs report out significant management failures, before they've already hit the press? Not too often.

It’s a common thing to do in a dictatorship but not in the United States. The fired IG’s will be going to work on Monday. Stay tuned.

@6:51: Exactly. He couldn’t care less what’s being done as long as he doesn’t have to “read” or “do work” like some kind of rube.

Sergio Gor helped fire the Inspector Generals. His background…

He is known for his strong relationships with the president’s allies and close family and has even reportedly been seen regularly DJing at parties held at the president’s Florida resort.

According to The Washington Post, those close to Gor describe him as “fun”, “incredibly agreeable”, “ruthlessly efficient” and having the president’s “full trust.

I think he’s overqualified!

I think it's cute that anyone thinks Trump has anything to do with this. Someone in his pack has a plan that includes clearing out all the IG's who might stand in their way with their new appointments to all of these different Agencies and he wants to pre-pack the system so there is no one there who can say no.
