I had asked at least twice whether Frank Bisignano know what he was getting into with his nomination to become Commissioner of Social Security. I can’t say that the issues that concern me led to it but the Bisignano nomination has been withdrawn.

Wonder if this has anything to do with Michelle King’s apparent willingness to carry out the administration’s fascist designs.
I have never understood why anyone would take the job. It is a horrible position. You come into a mess, you dont get the money or people to fix it and you are blamed for everything and cannot change anything. Oh I forgot, even if you were perfect, the blog world would blame you for everything from male pattern baldness to a bad cup of coffee.
Well, SSA has no problem continuing to work under an Acting COSS. Since February 2013, we've had an Acting COSS in all but 3 years (Saul 06/2019-07/2021, O'Malley 12/2023-11/2024). At this point, it no longer matters who is the COSS/ACOSS, because all the policies are being handed down from OPM.
So it was just bureaucratic paper-shuffling? I suppose that makes sense in this new era of efficiency. Why just nominate when you can nominate, withdraw, and re-nominate?

There is no such thing, so we must rely on ourselves to get us out of this mess!
