The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the President's State of the Union Address tonight will call for "shared sacrifice" on Social Security but will offer no specific plan.

"shared sacrifice"
Exactly. I have been stating the same thing. Federal employees who earn $100,000+ can do their part by accepting a reduced salary.
It is a given that not everyone will be asked to "share the sacrifice" equally, or even share it at all. As usual, it will be a question of whose ox will be gored.

Our $100,000 troll strikes again. Ride that hobby horse, pardner.
Dont worry pardner. I will try.

Enough already with the $100,000 feds. Can I see the $150,000 feds?
i am one of those $100k feds and i earn every penny. i sacrifice by working in the public sector rather than cashing in on the private sector.
If salary was reduced,i'm sure an employee would earn every penny of $90,000 as well.
