From the New York Times:
The U.S. government will no longer recognize the citizenship of children born in the United States to immigrants who lack legal status, one of 10 immigration-related executive orders President-elect Donald Trump plans to sign Monday, an incoming administration official told reporters.
I can think of no immediate way to implement this other than by refusing to issue Social Security numbers to the children of those who lack legal status. Of course, Trump and his aides may not have thought that far ahead.
This is blatantly unconstitutional.

No problem implementing this EO..
President Trump has signed many executive orders on his first day back in office, one of which requires federal employees to return to full-time, in-person work.
This was one of the expected executive orders that he would issue based on reports that surfaced a few days ago.
What a waste of resources as SSA denies a request for an SSN by say a Texas born child of such immigrants and is sued for violating their 14th Amendment constitutional rights. (Which is likely what this administration wants to get the SC to back it up.) Then Texas decides such folks (again) won't get birth certificates, which is a state not a federal role. And creates a whole class of essentially classless and country less individuals. SMH.
Constitutional lawyers are going to be busy. Admin lawyers will be looking for work as the pendulum swings further to the denial side.
He doesn't have the authority to overrule the constitution. Ridiculous.
What happens to all the hospital enumeration at birth agreements like in NY where the ssn is automatically generated
The Constitution has always been open to interpretation, the interpretation is done by whoever has the most money and pull at the time. The Constitution has no real power, its more like guidelines, you know, like the Pirates Code without Keith Richards.
This isnt one I am going to worry about, the courts will take care of this. It is a play to the base and a stretch to see what he can get away with. Eye on the prize, dont follow the razzle dazzle.

A federal judge temporarily blocked President Trump’s executive order that aimed to end birthright citizenship, an early setback for the Trump administration’s immigration agenda.
