Near the end of a mundane article in the Pittsburg Post-Gazette about a Social Security public affairs specialist is a number I find surprising. The public affairs specialist is quoted as saying that 34% of those filing for Social Security retirement benefits now do so online.

Yes, and it isn't enough in my region...we're getting hammered over the heads to increase the percentage. Think I'll hire a stripper with a sandwich board to walk outside the office advertising online services! Heck, we're doing everything else. Some offices are turning people away telling them they HAVE to file online...This is nuts.
