It was the straight-faced lie that did him in. Many fiscally conservative members could have gotten behind this guy, and many had hopes he would bring a new vision to SSA. The lie revealed he is the architect, or at least one architect, of the dismantling of income security and healthcare for millions of seniors, children, disabled people and survivors.
RIFs are coming. Bisignano wants to be the guy to get the agency lean.
Fiserv employees are hearing that Frank plans to privatize SSA under KKR and merge it with Fiserv. This needs to be looked into asap.
Bisignano will be confirmed. Hegseth, Bondi, Kennedy Jr., McMahon, Gabbard, Lutnick. All those slimeballs sailed through,and we think because Bisignano fibbed at his hearing, they won't vote for him? Sure, perjured is what he actually did, but fibbed is what they call it in the swamp. Besides, he's "this close" to being a billionaire. I count at least 50 + 1 Republicans who believe that's all that matters.

Democrats claimed that Bisignano lied under oath at his confirmation hearing regarding contacts with DOGE. For that alone, someone should put a hold on his nomination until that issue is resolved.
