Social Security has issued updated numbers on payments of fees
to attorneys and some others for representing Social Security
claimants. These fees are withheld and paid by Social Security but come
out of the back benefits of the claimants involved. The attorneys and
others who have their fees withheld pay a user fee for this privilege. Since these fees are usually
paid at the same time that the claimant is paid, these numbers show how
quickly or slowly Social Security is able to get claimants paid after a
favorable determination on their claims.

That explains our lousy October. I'm surprised that Nov's totals are even that high. Fees were slow last month, too.
ODAR employee here, I'm curious.
Reps: let's say your claimant receives a fully favorable decision dated the 15th of a month (and let's assume it was actually closed out and left ODAR on that date). About when does the fee from that claim hit your account on average?
We usually get our fees within 2-4 weeks after the favorable decision. The payment center usually gets the fees out quickly. It gets a little more tricky when there's both DIB and SSI fees to collect.
