From the Washington Post:
All federal workers will shortly receive an email asking what they did last week — and that if employees fail to respond, it will be taken as a resignation, Elon Musk wrote in a post on X Saturday. …
From a press release:
AFSCME, Alliance for Retired Americans, AFT Challenge DOGE’s Access, Executed by Unconfirmed, Acting Official, to Confidential, Private Data of Hundreds of Millions of AmericansSuit filed on heels of SSA Acting Head’s Departure Amid Concerns about DOGE Access to DataBaltimore, MD — In a new lawsuit filed on Friday night, retirees and unions sued to halt DOGE’s unprecedented, unlawful seizure of personal, confidential, private and sensitive data from the Social Security Administration, without any express authority. Such access has been granted by an unlawful acting official, installed at SSA with disregard for the rules governing such appointments. ..

Lets not forget that DOGE was created and funded unconstitutionally by the executive branch without authorization from Congress, and is being run by a leader whose appointment was unconstitutionally executed without the advice and approval of the Senate.
This is what a fascist dictatorship looks like, kids. Brought to you by the very idiots who claim to respect the constitution most of all in the persistent “most patriotic American” pissing contest they perceive themselves to be in at all times.
The playbook in Project 2025 in which the press two sided the issue.
If federal employees are feeling traumatized right now, Russell Vought, the new head of the office of management and budget (OMB), probably has something to do with it.
“We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected,” Vought said in a video revealed by ProPublica and the research group Documented in October. “When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work, because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down … We want to put them in trauma.”
1. Stressed out
2. Talked to co-workers about resignations, retirements, RIFs
3. Prepared my resume
4. Assessed my personal budget
5. Thought about buying a Tesla
a. Showed the DOGE boys where they can find PII on every citizen
b. Made a copy of the READ ONLY PII and beneficiary data (just in case)
c. Analyzed fraud and improper payments (I see dead people)
d. Sought sweet MAGA revenge (only partly finished on this one)

Not responding. This is the end.
I hope they ask the contractors the same question. That is where all the money is spent.
After that I expect them to ask all the disability beneficiaries what did you accomplish this past week? New CDR fast track program
Charles thanks so much for keeping up with all this. With so much crap going around, this blog feels like the only place where employees, claimants, reps and anyone else who cares about social security can try to make sense of things.
NOBODY should be surprised by how Trump/Vance/Musk are going after federal employees, whether you like it or not. If you voted for the man and are now shocked by what is happening then you are too ignorant, naive and/or unintelligent to be a federal employee and should quit immediately. The rest of us will either grin or grimace the next 4 years while continuing to do our best to serve the American public.
Preach!
How many federal employees did not bother to vote? Ignorance is bliss. The midterm elections are in 2026 and that will give this administration a speed bump if the Democrats take control of Congress.
I voted and donated hundreds of dollars so Im probably on a list somewhere and just waiting for that to be used against me.
Does anyone know who the new political appointees are at SSA?
All these tears? The federal government must be the only place where asking to document what you did last week is a crime against humanity. Toughen up, buttercup. If you're doing good work you have nothing to worry about.
6:48 please. Federal employees are the bluest of the blue, it's gotta be 98-2 democrat (not counting military). If that is your argument then Trump is smart to fire a missile into the bluest pastures of employees who will hate him no matter what he does.
The move by Musk, whom Trump has tasked with overseeing the Department of Government Efficiency, comes after the president earlier Saturday posted on social media that he wants the Tesla CEO to “get more aggressive” with his role. Trump also has previously said he is authorizing everything Musk is doing as one of his advisers.
Trump wants to be aggressive no matter the federal employee in order to justify the tax cuts of 4.5 trillion that benefit the top one percent.
What are Dudek's five bullets?
Uh you know what happens when you assume? There are plenty of conservatives in the federal civilian workforce, plenty. The fact you don't know that just speaks to your shooting off your mouth while knowing nothing.
Ten SSA offices closed?
Their first wave of actions — initiating the elimination of 41 jobs and the closing of at least 10 local offices, so far — was largely lost in the rush of headlines. Those first steps might seem restrained compared with the mass firings that DOGE has pursued at other federal agencies. But Social Security recipients rely on in-person service in all 50 states, and the shuttering of offices, reported on DOGE’s website to include locations everywhere from rural West Virginia to Las Vegas, could be hugely consequential. The closures potentially reduce access to Social Security for some of the most vulnerable people in this country — including not just retirees but also individuals with severe physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as children whose parents have died and who’ve been left in poverty.
Everything I do each week is tracked. How long it took me to move each thing is tracked. No email to DOGE is necessary because SSA already has all this data. SSA sends me an email every day with these stats. This email is just about trolling and trauma.
No, the ten offices were satellite ones and of no consequence. If DOGE really wants to save then they should close almost every office and move the services online. Monitor teleworking employees and enforce high production standards. You'll save billions in decrepit federal buildings no one wants to work in, you'll whip employees into shape and they'll be happier, and you'll have the best and most efficient government at the lowest price. O'Malley couldn't do that and sadly DOGE doesn't seem to want to do it either.
